Characteristic
ASTM A403 is a specification established by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) that outlines the requirements for wrought austenitic stainless steel piping fittings. These fittings are intended for use in pressure piping and pressure vessel service at high temperatures and corrosive environments. ASTM A403 WPS31254 is a specific grade of stainless steel that falls under the austenitic category. It is also known by its trade name "6Mo" and is designed to provide excellent corrosion resistance in extremely harsh environments, including those containing chlorides, acids, and other corrosive agents. This makes it particularly suitable for applications in industries such as chemical processing, petrochemical, oil and gas, and marine.
